That said, this morning, I checked out Twitter, and I saw THIS babble; but I thought the jig was up when none of the whiner's linked to the offending email in question; they just sniveled about it like this:
Nan Malin - .@billiegirltoo I dont like Maddow, but i know @freedomworks lastest email is full of BS. Complete lies!! Shocking!!! So sad. #wcot #wa03
Nan Malin - Lies frm @freedomworks> RT @ericearling: lame @castillo_2010 cnt do big push w/out lying abt @JaimeLHerrera latest Armey email #wa03 #wcot
Nan Malin - Never thought I would see day @Freedomworks spread outright LIES against a GOP candidate.Complete LIES against @JaimeLHerrera #wa03 #wcot
Eric Earling - lame: @castillo_2010 can't do big push w/out lying abt @JaimeLHerrera. latest Dick Armey email = laughable. #wa03
So, I thought *I* would dig up a copy of the email in question. You have to do that when the kool aid drinkers shilling for Herrera get their "lies and distortions" cap on; was it that long ago that they threw a collective embolism over Castillo's robo call, which was accurate to the last syllable?
Just yesterday, former House Majority Leader and former US Representative Dick Armey sent out a little email reminding folks about Herrera's SEIU endorsements, cash and hard work on SEIU's behalf.
The email said, in part:
His (Castillo's) opponent, Jaime Herrara, represents more of the same big government power grabs and preferential treatment for special interest groups that are driving the tax and spend agenda. In contrast to David's proven limited government track record, Jaime's record is one of vote after vote on behalf of her union boss supporters. We are told by the more gullible among Herrera's cult followers that these facts, each documentable and verifiable, were, in fact, "lies," and "out right lies" and "full of BS" and "complete lies." against Herrera.
Jaime has been endorsed by SEIU Locals 925, 775 NW, and 1199 NW for her past votes on behalf of forced unionization like HB 1329 in both 2010 and 2009 that called for the forced unionization of child care workers or H.B 1389, the unionization of nuclear power plants. Jaime is living up to her promise to be "a friend of organized labor" at the expense of being a friend to taxpayers who are forced to deal with the higher costs and limited opportunities that come with forced unionization.
The poorly named "Employee Free Choice Act" or card check is still a major initiative the Obama Administration would love to pass to thank their Big Labor friends and Jaime is a vote for forced unionization they would definitely like to have.
The problem is that as far as I can see, they are letter-perfect truth, just like Castillo's robo call. So in this instance, the "complete lies" are those being spread by Herrera's bat-crap crazy followers.
Let's take a look at this email that got SO many panties in SUCH a bunch!
His (Castillo's) opponent, Jaime Herrara, represents more of the same big government power grabs and preferential treatment for special interest groups that are driving the tax and spend agenda. In contrast to David's proven limited government track record, Jaime's record is one of vote after vote on behalf of her union boss supporters.OK... let's look for the so-called "lies," shall we?
Who does Herrera "represent?" Well, based on her experience, it's pretty clear the number ONE thing she represents is Cathy McMorris Rogers, or CMR.
Now, CMR is in the hierarchy of House Leadership in a minor post. Nothing approaching Majority Leader, you understand, but like Herrera in her "deputy whip" position, SOMEONE had to get the coffee.
Unfortunately, every time Herrera utters the phrase "Independent Voice," she's lying through her teeth. When you're completely owned by someone in Congress, you can't go around telling people you're an "independent" anything. CMR told you to ditch us DURING SESSION, so ditch us you did, and away you went to a Mair-blabbed fund raiser that records seem to indicate you did not raise one dime from or at.
There is no question that when you did the left's bidding by helping them to spend $229 million in the reserve fund, you were kowtowing to those "friends of organized labor" you're so fond of.
Your record pales in comparison to Castillo's. You vote like the unions are paying you directly. So, here we the special interest (CMR) that owns you, and the unions that you have ACTED like they own you.
So, obviously, NONE of THIS is a "lie."
Jaime is living up to her promise to be "a friend of organized labor" at the expense of being a friend to taxpayers who are forced to deal with the higher costs and limited opportunities that come with forced unionization.Have you been endorsed by these unions?
Of course you have.
Have you co-sponsored and voted for their legislation?
Of course you did.
Were you not quoted in the Columbian as saying that you would try to be a "friend of organized labor?"
You absolutely did.
Did you not admit that you've taken donations from the SEIU?
No question about it.
Did HB1329 require representation by SEIU of private day care centers if ONE, SINGLE CHILD THERE was receiving subsidized day care?
No question about it.
Equally obvious is that all of THESE facts are true, so no lies there.
The poorly named "Employee Free Choice Act" or card check is still a major initiative the Obama Administration would love to pass to thank their Big Labor friends and Jaime is a vote for forced unionization they would definitely like to have.Herrera has a history of voting for forced unionization; Obama does want card check, and given her support of past SEIU legislation at the state level, they would love to have her vote at the national level.
So.... no lies here, either.
So, why did the Herd flip out? Why is it that when anyone says anything against Ridgefield Barbie, they vaporlock with a vitriol rarely seen in the political realm?
I don't know. But it seems to me that the more the piggies squeal, the more they're covering up and making excuses and dodging the issues.
And say anything at all against this person, and the outrage will spill over, truth be damned.
BTW, to the Herrera Herd reading this, next time, post a link to what you're whining about. Leaving it out almost guarantees that somebody is lying... just like you lied about the robo call.
Tah for now!
